The JUE-410F (Fleet 77) utilizes the Inmarsat Fleet satellite system, incorporating advanced technology and flexible interfacing, enabling greater demand for communications by high-seas vessels and on-shore operations. The Fleet system integrates the modern interfacing standards to meet compatibility with standard applications and systems.
Note: JRC specifically designed the compact stabilized JUE-410F antenna, in anticipation of the next generation satellite system. Current users are able to migrate to the FleetBroadband (JUE-500), using the Upgrade Path, by only replacing the JUE-410 below-deck-unit plus a few minor changes; saving close to 50% in equipment and installation costs.
Data Transfer Options
JUE-410F provides quality, reliable data communications, including high-speed remote network access and fast access to IP and FTP services. The Inmarsat Fleet System allows the user to chose between two different data transmission systems, depending on their needs. The Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS) is a cost-effective packet-based service, charging only for the amount of data sent and received (charged/Mbyte), transfer rates up to 64kbps. The ISDN option provides data transfer up to 128kbps (charging/minute).
Expanded High Quality Voice Features
Inmarsat's Fleet service offers digital voice communication on a virtually global basis (polar restrictions apply) . Chose from standard 4.8kbps voice (equivalent in quality & price to Mini-M) or 64kbps between ISDN phones. Call waiting notifies users of incoming voice, fax or data during an MPDS session, giving the user an option to accept the incoming call.
Safety
The JRC JUE-410F (Fleet 77) is fully compliant with the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). The terminal includes a prominent red Distress button to prevent accidental activation. This service provides a multi-layered priority system allowing Distress, Urgency and Safety calls.
