Heralding the next generation of professional high-speed satellite communications terminals, Thrane & Thrane's EXPLORER 700 is a heavy-duty, full-featured broadband terminal, in addition to phone and fax capabilities. With its specially designed antenna and environmental protection, the 700 system is equally effective as a single or multi-user terminal, ideally suited to top-level logistics and media applications in harsh environments.

The EXPLORER 700 provides you with access to the highest bandwidth available on Inmarsat’s newest BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) satellite system.  As of June 2009, the EXPLORER 700 users can take full advantage of Inmarsat's newest BGAN X-Stream* service, with selectable Streaming IP data rates guaranteed to 384kbps minumum, up to 450kbps (marking the first satellite service to offer these assured rates).  In 2010, Inmarsat announced a cost efficient guaranteed BGAN 176kbps** Streaming IP rate for key media applications.  Thrane & Thrane's EXPLORER 700 can now service a broader range of broadcast industry applications, depending on their video and audio needs, venue scenarios, cost element and the critical level of broadcast communications.
