BGAN Hughes 9201 Portable or M2M Terminal (HNS9201)

The Hughes BGAN 9201 (HNS9201) high performance satellite communications terminal is ideal for either single-users with bandwidth-hungry applications, such as live video, or for small teams requiring expedient temporary office set-up, providing a range of applications from standard data transfer to high-speed connectivity, M2M applications for remote communications and more, utilizing Inmarsat's reliable network.  Simultaneous voice and broadband data allows access to data applications, while making a phone call at the same time.

The Hughes BGAN 9201 provides you with access to the highest bandwidth available on Inmarsat’s newest BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) satellite system.  As of June 2009, HNS9201 users can take full advantage of Inmarsat's newest BGAN X-Stream * service, with selectable Streaming IP data rates guaranteed to 384kbps minimum, up to 450kbps (marking the first satellite service to offer these assured rates).  In 2010, Inmarsat announced a cost efficient guaranteed BGAN 176kbps Streaming IP** rate for key media applications.  The Hughes 9201 BGAN terminal can now service a broader range of broadcast industry applications, depending on their video and audio needs, venue scenarios, cost element and the critical level of broadcast communications.

Extremely Robust and Highly Flexible 
The HNS9201 can be installed outside in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.  This satellite terminal is easy to use in both portable and semi-fixed contexts.  Multi-user support allows an entire team to share a single unit, enabling an instant broadband local area network.
