Skanti’s Iridium-based satcom phone has been commonly known in the market as Eurocom, IMF1000 or Scansat 7701 Iridium Fixed Mount Phone. This phone provides the assurance of worldwide communications with a variety of interfaces, particularly when traveling in areas with inadequate landline service or at sea.
In a marine application the Scansat-7701 is a highly advanced Iridium terminal designed for the harsh environment at sea. The three-unit fixed terminal is designed for indoor use with a fixed antenna to be installed outside, giving the user the advantage of staying inside in harsh sea.
TARGET MARKETS: Suited for voice or low-speed data communications for marine (commercial to small pleasure vessels) and land-mobile (remote, mobile or emergency) applications.
